Start with the profile details you want to use

The following workflow was documented for BBM 1.0.26 on iOS and web build 81 on 19 October 2026. It is not a claim that those are the latest versions. Current official descriptions distinguish free monthly budgeting from BBM Plus, including web access and additional planning tools. Follow the access and sign-in prompts in your edition; the linked reference records the newer public versions.

Build a first plan in a sensible order

Follow guided setup through income, expenses and the first plan. The setup is tailored to employee and self-employed use. Enter the information relevant to your own situation, then read expected income, planned expenses and planned remainder together. They describe a plan: a remainder is not confirmation of money in a bank account.

Keep the same records and access level in view

When checking a monthly picture, keep the selected records in mind so you compare the same entries. Use the Simple monthly-planning view for everyday checks. The current store description places longer-range forecasts, comparisons and advanced reporting under BBM Plus; do not assume those tools or web access are free. Neither access level turns an estimate into a guaranteed outcome.

Inspect bills by date

For the employee workflow, bills are grouped by date with the number of bills and their total. Tap a date to see all its bills. That is a useful checkpoint when a group total looks unexpected: inspect the entries behind it before deciding that the whole monthly plan is wrong.

Repair the entry that needs attention

Use Records to edit an incorrect entry or delete one you no longer need, reviewing the confirmation before completing the action. A Needs review flag points to an entry that needs attention and offers a direct repair path. Recheck the relevant record and plan after making the correction rather than assuming a flagged record has already been fixed.

Use the available help when access gets in the way

Look in the searchable Help center for an explanation of the budgeting workflow. For email verification, follow the Verify & open BBM route or the manual-code alternative. If profile verification fails, the reviewed release offers Back to sign in and Sign out options. This guide describes those available paths without claiming that every device, account or mail-client combination has been tested.

A useful monthly habit

At a monthly check-in, review the income and expenses you planned, inspect unusual bill groups and resolve records that need attention. The aim is a clearer set of entries and estimates, not a promised financial result. The BBM website also has a separate monthly-budget review guide, linked below, if you want a broader explanation.
